Scott joined MurphySchmidt in March 2020 as a Solicitor, specialising in personal injury claims. He enjoys the challenges of the work, getting to know his clients and understanding their needs, and working hard to achieve the best outcome possible for them.
Scott first completed a Bachelor of Journalism at UQ in 2010, before completing a Bachelor of Laws (Honours II A) at QUT in 2015. He obtained a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice and was admitted as a Solicitor in 2016. From 2015 to 2017, Scott worked as a paralegal in a boutique personal injury firm where he developed a growing interest in this area of law. Before beginning his post-graduate career as a Solicitor, Scott travelled to Canada for two years on a working holiday, returning to Australia in January 2020.
Scott has previously volunteered with Salvos Legal from 2012 to 2016 and is an active participant in the firm’s involvement with LawRight, a not-for-profit, community-based legal organisation that coordinates the provision of pro bono legal services for individuals and community groups.
